词汇的选择不需要多么高级，只需恰到好处。这一点最能体现在词语搭配上。
二、语法
对于想要获得雅思6分或6.5分的学生，不需要高级语法(如虚拟语气、倒装句或重音句)。但是写从句是必要的。
文章中最好有各种类型的句子，但不要太多。例如，如果你在一篇文章中使用一次状语从句、宾语从句、主语从句，你就会在语法(复合句)中获得高分。
这种要求其实并不高，只要通过正确的写作训练，是很容易做到的。
语法的第二个要求是:不要出现太多语法错误的句子。低水平的语法会让句子结构变得很糟糕。
